Chinese company interested in model of IT park in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/- Representatives of a Chinese company have appreciated the model of the IT park in Moldova and said they are interested in promoting and implementing its advantages in their country. The subject was discussed at a meeting with Economy and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici.
"The Republic of Moldova has a viable potential for developing the ICT sector. Together with the team, we are working on multiple policies to boost the ICT sector. We invite you to develop business in our country, and take advantage of the opportunities offered in the IT Park. Its residents have the opportunity to get a special tax regime of 7% - single tax, virtual residence, simplified administration and reporting mechanism in a unique form, wide range of areas of innovative activity,” he said.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Huawei company representatives praised the ministry's reforms to improve the business environment, touching upon the success of the first IT park in Moldova. At the same time, they noted that Moldova is among the countries that could become a platform for implementing IT solutions.
Huawei is a Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer and global provider of ICT infrastructure and smart devices. In 2018, the company had sales of 17.7 billion dollars.
