Police raided several prisons in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/- Today, 120 police officers of the National Investigation Inspectorate, the Fulger special purpose police brigade, IGP territorial subdivisions and 200 employees of the National Penitentiary Administration raided searches in over 30 locations, including penitentiaries Cricova, Soroca, Balți and Branești.
According to the General Inspectorate of Police, as a result of several special investigative actions conducted since the beginning of this year, the officers of the National Investigation Inspectorate jointly with the territorial subdivisions of the IGP in Sangerei, Soroca, Balti, Donduseni, Falesti and prosecutors of Donduseni, Sangerei and Soroca identified more people suspected of committing robberies and murders.
In this context, a special operation involving several police officers and penitentiary staff was launched this morning, with raids in 30 locations.
So far, three people have been arrested for 72 hours, following the raids.
