Moldovan president promulgates some of laws approved by cabinet taking responsibility

Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ – The head of state, Igor Dodon, has announced today that he promulgated some of the nine laws approved on 07 March 2019 by engaging the liability of the Government towards the Parliament.

Igor Dodon specified that he had identified the social impact laws and promulgated them in an emergency. These ones include the law providing for a single grant of MDL 600 for beneficiaries of state pensions and social allowances, law amending the indexation mechanism for pensions and law providing for intensification of social protection measures of the persons with special merits to the state.

The President has specified that economic laws are still under examination.

Last week, the Government has assumed responsibility for several laws. According to the Constitution of Moldova, the Government can assume parliamentary responsibility for a programme, a general policy statement or a draft law.
