Over 2,000 lease contracts registered at tax body in early 2019

Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/- During January and February 2019, over 2,200 contracts on lease, rent of real estate were registered at the State Tax Service.

At the same time, 962 owners who rent out real estate were identified during that period. Tax inspectors carried out checks on 74 persons offering real estate for rent, with additional payments to the budget - 66.2 thousand lei, penalties - 3.3 thousand lei and fines - 12.1 thousand lei.

As a result, in two months of 2019, 763 private people have complied with the legislation, the budget being supplemented with 66.2 thousand lei.

Over the past year, about 11 thousand lease contracts were registered at the SFS.

Under the legislation, private people who rent real estate have to pay the 7 percent tax on their income.

Lease contracts can be registered at the Tax Service Departments within location of the real estate. Private people who do not honor their respective obligations, risk fines and sanctions, in accordance with the provisions of the Fiscal Code.
