Parents in Chisinau to be able to register online children in first grade

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- Today, parents in the capital will be able to register their children in first grade online. The platform is operational from early today, and registration applications can be submitted by visiting escoala.chisinau.md. The project cost 89,000 lei.

After registration, parents will be able to follow the status of the application. Managers of the educational institutions will consider the applications in the order they were submitted.

The project was carried out at the initiative of Acting Mayor Ruslan Codreanu, who aims to make the admission process more operative and more transparent. He said that thus the bureaucracy and collection of informal fees in educational institutions will be avoided.

Codreanu said that in the first half hour since the launch of the platform, 32 parents have already signed up.

Chisinau city hall notes that about 8,000 children will be enrolled in the first grade in schools in the capital in 2019-2020.
