Chisinau, 24 April /MOLDPRES/- Today one year has passed since the signing of the protocol decision on participation in international road transport of vehicles in the Transnistrian region not performing commercial activities (24 April 2018) and about 8 months of its implementation, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Since the launch of the two vehicle registration points on 1 September 2018 in Tiraspol and Ribnita, the registration and re-registration mechanism of transport has been in operation since 10 September 2018.
This mechanism has identified a viable solution to the issue on the international traffic of the means of transport in the Transnistrian region and the provision of services by the employees of the Public Services Agency on the left bank of the Dniester in the registration offices of the means of transport.
During the implementation of the nominated mechanism, an increased interest of applicants was sought in the car registration with neutral-type plates.
Thus, the dynamics shows that, during 8 months of implementation, 2,905 cars and 755 documents were registered in the offices of Ribnita and Tiraspol.
The total number of beneficiaries of the registration / re-registration mechanism of the means of transport and issuance of documents are 3677 people.
A special positive trend is the change of driving licenses by the inhabitants of the Transnistrian region to the Public Services Agency for access to international road traffic to meet the requirements of the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic.
The driving license was not the subject of the Protocol Decision.
From this perspective, the trend of changing the driving permits in the Moldovan legal field is increasing.
According to data by competent national authorities, the flow towards the crossings controlled by the constitutional authorities is normal and without difficulties.
The Moldovan side continues to meet its commitments to provide quality services to the inhabitants of the Transnistrian region in order to gain access to international road traffic.
