Sixty five Moldovan businessmen get financing up to MDL 250 thousand under programme PARE 1+1

Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ – In Moldova, 65 enterprises will be active throughout Programme of Remittances Removal PARE 1+1. The first – class migrant workers or first – degree relatives will receive up to MDL 250,000 from EU and the state budget on the basis of the 1+1 algorithm so that each MDL 1 invested in remittances is supplemented with MDL 1 in form of a grant.
The business owners have signed today in Chisinau municipality some non – refundable financing contracts for a total amount of MDL 16 million. Interim Managing Director of the Small and Medium – Sized Enterprise Development Organisation, Petru Gurgurov, has said that the projects will generate cumulative investments in the economy of about MDL 39 million and providing 135 jobs.
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Iulia Costin, has said at the event that the authorities are constantly looking for new tools and opportunities to help both citizens in Moldova and diaspora to open their own profitable businesses. The official urged programme beneficiaries to apply to other business support projects launched here.
The Project Manager for Agriculture and Sustainable Development, EU Delegation to Moldova, Iva Stamenova, reconfirmed the support of the European Community Block for the development and modernisation of a sustainable economy of Moldova.
Out of the total of 65 applicants for financial non – reimbursable support, 46 are active in agriculture, 12 other businesses will be provided in the field of service provision and 07 in industry. The business ideas proposed by migrants will be carried out in 26 districts of Moldova, and more 09 beneficiaries of programme are from Chisinau municipality. The beneficiaries will invest remittances from 15 countries: Australia, Russia, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, UK, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and USA.
