Over a thousand credits granted under First Home programme in first four months of 2019

Chisinau, 2 May /MOLDPRES/- In the first four months of this year, 1010 beneficiaries bought a home under First Home Programme.

Before 1 May, 2128 credits worth 1,055 billion lei were granted under the program. At the same time, the total amount of the active guarantees is 527.5 million lei.

Of the 2,128 beneficiaries, 1,543 are young families, and 585 are unmarried young people. At the same time, 1,987 homes purchased through the programme are located in urban areas, and 141 are in rural areas. According to the Organization for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, the average value of the purchased houses is 581.63 thousand lei.

Recently, the government has decided that the maximum margin that creditors can apply during 2019 for state-guaranteed loans under the First Home Programme will be reduced from 3% to 2%.The ruling stipulating this will enter into force tomorrow with publication in the Official Journal.

The programme was launched at the initiative of Prime Minister Pavel Filip on 26 March 2018.
