Owner of restaurants' network from Moldovan capital, suspected of blackmail, detained for 30 days

Chisinau, 2 May /MOLDPRES/ - The owner of a network of restaurants from Chisinau has been arrested for 30 days, being suspected of blackmail. Another four persons, members of an organized criminal group, were detained in the same file.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the head of the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes, Nicolae Chitoroaga, said that the businessman had been detained back last week and now he was put under arrest. Two foreign citizens are involved in the same file. They are suspected of willing to take over the business of a Chisinau resident through blackmail.
On 27 April, those five suspected persons got 30 days of arrest in penitentiary.
