Chisinau, 3 May /MOLDPRES/- Decision amending government decision No455/2017 on distribution of funds of the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development was published in the Official Journal of Moldova today.
Under the decision, the financial support granted to a farmer was increased from 3 million to 5 million lei per year, and for the producer groups - up to 7.5 million lei.
Authorities say that increasing support ceiling to a farmer or producer group will create prerequisites for improving post harvest infrastructure and increase the possibilities for accessing new markets. It will also help strengthen producer groups, motivate the creation of new groups, stimulate exports, and increase product quality.
Also, following the government's decision, the state will financially support those who will do business in orchards and vineyards, thus providing more opportunities for young entrepreneurs to invest in businesses in rural areas.
