Application of toad surface marking to start in Moldovan capital in mid-May

Chisinau, 7 May /MOLDPRES/ - The works of application of the road surface marking will start on streets of Chisinau in mid-May.

At a today’s operative meeting of the Chisinau city hall’s services, the head of the Exdrupo enterprise, Marcel Zastinceanu, said that the works would last two months. “We will begin with the transversal marking – the crosswalks and then the longitudinal marking will follow. The crosswalks which are not managed by pedestrian traffic lights and with increased risk of accidents will be marked in the white and red colours, in order to warn participants in the traffic,” Zastinceanu noted.

This year, the city hall purchased 70 tons of white paint and three tons of red and yellow paints each. The marking will be applied repeatedly on crowded streets in next autumn.

More than two million lei was spent to buy the paint.
