Meteorologists issue yellow code of strong wind in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 May /MOLDPRES/- The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) announced yellow code of strong wind for today and tomorrow.

According to meteorologists, on 7-8 May, northwest wind gusting up to 15-18 meters per second is expected in extended areas.

In this context, rescuers recommend avoiding places where there are dry trees or high voltage electrical wires. Employees of the National Patrol Inspectorate will take increased measures to streamline road traffic and prevent traffic incidents with serious consequences.

The weather will cool slightly. In the coming days, air temperatures across the country will reach up to + 4 degrees Celsius at night and up to +12 +19 degrees during the day. Also, rain is expected during the period. By the end of the week the weather will get warm up to +25 degrees during the day.

If yellow code, weather conditions are potentially dangerous, forecast weather phenomena are common to the country, but temporarily can be dangerous for some socio-economic activities.
