Agency for Intervention and Payment for Agriculture launches new stage of receiving applications for advance subsidies

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/- The Agency for Intervention and Payment for Agriculture (AIPA) has launched the fourth stage of receiving applications for advance subsidies for 2019. Farmers can submit files by 9 July.

Subsidies in advance will be provided under the investment projects submitted by young farmers and female farmers who perform for the first time an economic activity in the agri-food sector. The total value of the proposed project must not exceed one million lei. 65 per cent of expenditure under the project will be covered by the state and another 35 per cent will be invested by the author of the idea.

According to AIPA, 21 first-time farmers have submitted the documents and applied for subsidies worth over 12 million lei.

To provide advance payments for the start-up projects, at least 5% will be allocated annually from the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development, this year amounting to 45 million lei.
