About 2,000 policemen to ensure public order in Moldova during 9 May mini-vacation

Chisinau, 08 May /MOLDPRES/ – In the context of several events that are to take place on 09 May in Chisinau municipality, but also on the territory of Moldova, the police will increase the measures for ensuring public order and road traffic monitoring.
According to police, there will be deployed more pedestrian and mobile patrol crews in Chisinau municipality on 09 May, which will direct the traffic flow participants and redirect traffic during manifestations as to prevent traffic jams and danger of traffic.
In this context, the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) asks drivers to strictly comply with the restrictions imposed and urges citizens to opt for public transport.
The IGP mentions that during the events, the public and private transport will be restricted in Chisinau, within the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN). Also, the traffic will be temporarily restricted: street Ismail – boulevard Stefan cel Mare – roundabout 40 de ani. At 09:30 – 10:30, itinerary – bd. Stefan cel Mare – B. Bodoni – Mateevici – Alecsandri – roundabout 40 de ani. At 07:00 – 10:00, streets M. Kogalniceanu – Armeneasca – Ismail. At 07:00 – 10:00, streets Tighina – Bucuresti – Kogalniceanu. At 07:00 – 10:00, streets Lev Tolstoi – Ismail – Bucuresti.
If necessary, traffic will also be stopped on other streets.
Today, more parties have announced that they will hold events celebrating Victory Day and Europe Day on 09 May.
