During Easter holidays number of border crossings increased by 9%

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/- During Easter holidays, over 1.2 million people crossed the state border, up by 9.15% than in the same period last year.
During holidays, between 22 April - 12 May 2019, the most requested border crossing points were Leuseni, Chisinau International Airport, Sculeni, Otaci and Giurgiulesti - Galati. At the same time, the most transited day at the border was on 4 May, when there were 73,379 crossings.
According to the General Inspectorate of the Border Police, during the Easter Holidays there were no crowds at the state border and the waiting time for a means of transport at the most requested crossing points did not exceed 12 minutes.
