Moldova, Georgia intend to give new impetus to Eastern Partnership

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, has met with Georgian Prime Minister, Mamuka Bakhtadze, today. The meeting took place in the margins of the events celebrating the Xth anniversary of the Eastern Partnership (EaP), which takes place in Brussels, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The PMs of Moldova and Georgia addressed issues related to Moldovan – Georgian bilateral relations and good cooperation within international and regional structures, focusing on EaP and prospect of EU integration. Pavel Filip and Mamuka Bakhtadze have said that Moldova and Georgia are interested in giving a new impetus to EaP so as to achieve tangible results.
The Premiers have also expressed their support for intensification of the commercial – economic cooperation, mentioning the importance of work of the Moldovan – Georgian intergovernmental commission for commercial – economic cooperation, which will be convened in Chisinau in autumn of 2019. Moldova has been interested in taking over the Georgian experience within tourism development.
