Modernisation of country, implementation of Association Agenda represent strategic guidelines for Moldova

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, has met today in Brussels with Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn. The main topics of discussion were the post – electoral situation in Moldova, as well as the current state of relations of Moldova and EU, including political dialogue and development cooperation.
According to the government's communication and protocol department, the officials exchanged views on the reforms promoted by Moldovan authorities and the level of implementation of the Association Agreement with EU. During the meeting, there have been reviewed both achievements and areas where further efforts are needed.
PM Pavel Filip reiterated that modernising Moldova and implementing the Association Agenda are the strategic projections for Moldova. Also, the Premier has expressed the hope that the next Government will remain plenary in the process.
Under current conditions, the EU expertise and support are key ingredients to succeed in transforming Moldova and bringing it closer towards EU. In this context, PM advocated strengthening the political dialogue, intensifying cooperation at expert level, and resuming financial assistance.
