Police of Moldovan capital opened criminal cases on cars burned in weekend

Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/- Police officers of the capital have initiated criminal cases after having examined video footage captured by cameras on cars that burned over the weekend in Ciocana and Centre districts.
Press Officer of the Police Department Natalia Stati noted that law enforcement officials were asked on Saturday night after several vehicles parked on Hancesti 142/2 street and in the underground car park of a residential block on Alecu Russo 61/6 burned. Police officers initiated criminal cases for deliberate destruction of foreign goods.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, on Saturday night to Sunday, the firemen intervened twice to extinguish several cars. The first case was recorded in the yard of a residential block on Hancesti 142/2 street in Chisinau. The fire almost destroyed the vehicle and partially affected five other cars parked nearby.
At the same time, firemen were asked to intervene in a similar fire that occurred inside the underground car park of a residential building on Alecu Russo Street 61/6. The fire completely destroyed a Renault Kadjar car and six other cars were partially damaged.
