Moldovan deputy premier meets head of OSCE Mission

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic yesterday had another meeting with Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch, and discussed a wide range of issues related to the Transnistrian issue and the results of the fact-collecting visits last week to the educational institutions with teaching in the Romanian language in the Transnistrian region and in Varniţa village, Anenii Noi district, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.

In the context, the issues addressed by teachers and citizens were highlighted during the visits and the direct involvement of the OSCE Mission as a mediator in the negotiation process was required to identify viable solutions.

Also, the meeting focused on some issues related to boosting activity of sectorial working groups which will continue to ensure interaction and dialogue on technical problems, as well as elements on organisation in the near future of a possible visit to Moldova of mediators and observers in the 5+2 negotiation format.
