Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/- The decree on awarding the honorary title, Om Emerit (Honored), to singer Nicolae Glib will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 24 May.

Under the decree, the distinction was given to Nicolae Glib as appreciation of the special merits in the development of musical art, for outstanding achievements in the creative activity and significant contribution to promoting the national folk treasure.

For remarkable success in the work he was awarded the honorary title Honored Artist (1980) and People’s Artist (1990). In 1993 he was awarded Civic Merit medal, in 1996 - Labor Glory Order and in 2010 - Order of the Republic. In 2016 he was awarded the National Prize in the field of culture.
