Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/- About 200 elderly and disabled people received yesterday a dinner and a concert offered by the Embassy of Turkey in Moldova and the Turkish Agency for Development and Coordination (TIKA). The charity event took place at the placement center for the elderly and people with disabilities in Chisinau.
Turkey's Ambassador to Moldova Gürol Sökmensüer said that TIKA frequently organizes such charity activities in Moldova and around the world. "The about 200 elderly people who were present at the event lived great moments and we are very happy we were able to bring back smiles on their faces," the Turkish official said.
The director of the placement center, Gheorghe Bejenari, said that meals were prepared according to the diagnosis of the patients in the institution. "For years we have never seen such an event, which is why we are grateful to the Turkish Embassy and the TIKA Agency," Bejenari said.
