PM hands prizes to pupils from central Moldova town, occupying first places at republican Olympiads

Chisinau, 28 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today congratulated pupils from the central Straseni district, who had got outstanding results at district and republican Olympiads, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM appreciated the effort made by the pupils, noting that work was the key of success and the wish to do more and better were the qualities which would help them flourish in life. “You are future teachers, physicians, you are future ministers, lawmakers and you will decide the destiny of Moldova in several years. And to take right decisions, you need knowledge, information and abilities,” Pavel Filip said.
At the same time, the prime minister specified that the most important competition in life was with oneself: “You become winner when you defeat yourself. This would mean to make effort today, in order to be better than yesterday and necessarily to be better tomorrow than today. Then you can regard yourself a true winner.”
In the end of the event, Pavel Filip handed prizes to six young people who occupied the first places at republican Olympiads. As many as 356 pupils got prizes at the Laureates Gala from Straseni in all.
