Moldovan PM attends reception dedicated to centenary of Azerbaijan's diplomacy

Chisinau, 29 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip on 28 May evening attended a reception dedicated to the centenary of the diplomacy of Azerbaijan, which marks also the national day. The prime minister congratulated the Azeri nation on this occasion, appreciating the cooperation relations between the two countries in diverse sectors, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
„The good Moldovan-Azeri relations are based on principles of trust and reciprocal support, which allows us a quick advancement on the dimensions of the political dialogue, commercial and economic, cultural and humanitarian exchange,” Pavel Filip said. At the same time, the prime minister stressed the importance of the mutual backing between the two countries as regards the ensuring of the states’ sovereignty and territorial integrity, including within the international organizations.
In particular, the PM highlighted the good Moldovan-Azeri cooperation on the commercial and economic dimension, noting that the Moldovan business environment was friendly for investments. At present, more than 120 enterprises with Azeri capital work in Moldova and the bilateral trade exchanges are on the rise.
