Chisinau, 29 May /MOLDPRES/- The cabinet approved at today's meeting the amendment of the Regulation on the payment of pensions established in the public pension system and state social allowances, which stipulates the regulation of the way of paying pensions of the beneficiaries who have residence abroad.

Thus, under the document, if the person benefits from a pension in the Republic of Moldova and has residence abroad, he / she has to send to the National Social Insurance House (CNAS) every 12 months a life certificate. The draft decision provides for the model of Life Certificate which will be fill in and submitted by pensioner to CNAS.

The life certificate is to be signed by the pensioner at the diplomatic mission / consular office of the Republic of Moldova in the territory of the state of domicile or territorial subdivisions of CNAS, which will authenticate that this document was signed personally by the pension beneficiary.

If the pensioner does not present or does not transmit the Life Certificate in due time, the pension payment is suspended. After the submission of the life certificate, the payment of the pension is resumed from the date of suspension, based on the decision of the territorial social insurance house.

The document sees “state financial support is not granted to the pensioner who has residence abroad”, given that the support is a fixed payment which is granted from the state budget and is not a part of the pension.
