Moldova to set diplomatic relations with Grenada

Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/- Moldova will set diplomatic relations with Grenada. A protocol to this effect was signed by President Igor Dodon and will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 31 May.
The protocol on setting diplomatic relations between Moldova and Grenada will enter into force after publication.
Grenada is an island country in the south-eastern part of the Caribbean Sea, its capital Saint George's.
The island was discovered in 1498 by Christopher Columbus. At that time, it was inhabited by the Caribbean natives and was named Concepción. Currently, most people in Grenada (80%) are of African origin, and the official language is English.
