Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/- Decision on amending the government decision No 694/2018 for the approval of the Regulation on setting and paying the monthly allowance for housing rental of soldiers by contract of the National Army will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 31 May.

Under the document, in the new regulation, the words "National Army" will be replaced by the words "Armed Forces". Also, a new provision will be included, which stipulates that "the payment of monthly allowance for housing rental of servicemen by contract shall be made from the budgetary sources of the law enforcement bodies in the place of military service, together with the salary payment".

And the text "of the salary according to the last basic military function" will be replaced by "of the reference value for the calculation of salaries of the budgetary sector employees for the current year". The decision shall enter into force after publication.

A year ago, the government ruled that over a thousand employees of the Ministry of Defense, working by contract, will receive monthly allowances for renting housing. Many policemen enjoyed similar privileges for nearly a year.
