Moldova's Customs Service collects more than 1.9 billion lei to state budget in last May

Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service (SV) collected more than 1.9 billion lei to the state budget in last May and 8.5 billion lei has been collected since the beginning of this year.
According to SV’s press service, the sums collected to the budget in May 2019 were by about 60 million lei higher against the same period of the last year. The sum was accumulated as a result of the processing of 45,502 customs declarations.
At the same time, the revenues collected by the Customs in the first five months of this year amount to approximately 8.5 billion lei, up by over 609 million lei against the collections from the same period of 2018.
The press service of the Customs Service also said that, during the last month, customs officers had compiled 342 official reports for various contraventions and imposed fines worth more than 7,923,272 lei. In May 2019, the flow of transport units represented 396,424 crossings. The highest traffic values were recorded at the Moldovan-Romanian border and most transited customs checkpoints remain to be Leuseni and Sculeni.
