State to earmark one-off subsidy worth at least 40,000 lei for each job created in Moldova in 2019

Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Economics and Infrastructure Ministry informs that the economic agents can benefit from a one-off subsidy worth at least 40,000 lei for each job created in 2019. Enterprises are to submit applications on the reservation of the subsidy, till 31 July this year, in written form or through email, to the Finance Ministry.  

To ask for the one-off subsidy, economic agents must cumulatively meet more criteria, among which the increase in the staff of employees up to at least 100 persons, average monthly salary at the enterprise for the employed people should not be less than 75 per cent of the quantum of the average monthly salary on the economy, maintenance of jobs created for at least three years, lack of debts in taxes to the national public budget.    

„This instrument will lead to the enhancement of the level of employment and increase in payments to the consolidated budget; moreover, it will diminish the phenomenon of paying salaries in envelopes and, respectively, cut in the tax evasion,” Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici said.     

The applications submitted will be recorded in the Register of providing subsidies for the creation of jobs and the applicant will be informed about its reception during two working ways. Subsequently, the applications will be considered and approved, in line with the eligibility criteria. The applications submitted after the deadline will be examined at the budget’s rectification or in the next budgetary cycle.

According to the National Statistics Bureau, the number of residents employed increased by almost 45,000 in 2018 against the year before, up to 1,252.2 thousand people. The unemployment rate (share of jobless people in the active population) dropped to three per cent against 4.1 per cent in 2017.
