Chisinau hosts economic forum of Moldovan-Italian enterprises

Chisinau, 4 June /MOLDPRES/- The 6th Economic Forum of Italian and Moldovan-Italian Companies in Moldova is held in Chisinau. The event is organized by the Embassy of Italy in Chisinau in cooperation with the Moldovan-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Italian-Moldovan Chamber of Commerce.

Opening the event, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici said that the Italian Republic is a strategic partner for Moldova, both in terms of trade and investment. "Only during 2018, the volume of production exported to Italy increased by 31.2% compared to the same period of the previous year, and according to the volume of trade exchanges registered in 2018, Italy ranks 4th among the partners with which Moldova has trade relations,” he said.

According to the minister, the forum is a communication platform that will provide informational support to all representatives of Italian capital companies in the Republic of Moldova and represents an opportunity to develop sustainable partnerships, share positive experiences and find solutions to challenges.

Attending the forum, Italian Ambassador to Moldova Valeria Biagiotti said that the event will give Moldovan-Italian bilateral relations a higher quality dimension, given the important goal in the policy of optimizing the national economy and integrating the Republic of Moldova into the world economy. "

According to statistics, Italy ranks third among EU countries from which Moldova imports.
