Moldovan Socialists to convene in republican council to decide on possible ruling coalition

Chisinau, 6 June /MOLDPRES/- The Republican Council of the Party of Socialists will meet on 7 June, at 15:00, to decide on the possibility of creating a ruling coalition. The decision to convene the council was announced after the meeting of the PSRM Political Executive Committee held today.

According to a communiqué issued by the PSRM, following the discussions in the committee, the PSRM decided to continue talks with the legislative parties and insist on the positions previously set out, which in particular involve voting Zinaida Greceanii as parliament speaker.

The same press release reads "to prepare the complex information needed to approve the final decisions at the Republican Council, today, during the day, PSRM will delegate its representatives to find out details of the previously announced proposals of the Democratic Party to overcome the political crisis."

According to a communiqué issued yesterday by the Action and Solidarity Party, the party has decided to vote for a speaker proposed by the PSRM, which has provoked adverse reactions among certain MPs.
