Moldovan Democrats, Socialists discuss forming ruling coalition

Chisinau, 7 June /MOLDPRES/- PDM leadership will convene in the National Political Council on 7 June. PDM deputy head Vladimir Cebotari made the statement after a round of talks with PSRM representatives to create a possible ruling coalition.
According to Cebotari, the meeting with Socialist representatives took place this morning at the parliament. The event was also attended by MPs Violeta Ivanov and Corneliu Padnevici. He said that today it was not discussed the functions, but people's priorities.
"The PDM has one goal - to form a parliamentary majority and a government that will make people's lives better. We informed colleagues about PDM's desire that the future executive should continue the projects launched by Filip government, "Cebotari said.
The PDM opts for the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU and wants to continue social projects.
After meeting with PDM, PSRM MP Ion Ceban said that his party took note of the proposals of the Democrats and will discuss them at the Republican Council of Socialists, due today at 15.00.
