Moldovan president says Socialists exclude coalition with Democrats

Chisinau, 07 June /MOLDPRES/ – The Socialists' party (PSRM) does not examine the possibility of creating a coalition with the Democrats' party (PDM), and the negotiations with block ACUM have not reached a result, so the probability of the early elections is extremely high. The announcement was made on Friday, 07 June, by the head of state Igor Dodon at the end of the Republican Council (CR) of PSRM.
According to Dodon, the official and unofficial meetings with block ACUM has not offered any final results, as the block's components do not agree to support candidacy of Zinaida Greceanii for the office of Parliament Speaker (SP) and offer portfolios in the future Government.
"As for the discussions with PDM, we went and heard their proposal. A coalition with PDM, the Socialists have not examined from the beginning and at this stage we must note that the early elections represent a very high probability," said Igor Dodon.
The head of state said he would ask the Constitutional Court (CC) to expose on the date of the dissolution of the Parliament. He was convinced that early parliamentary elections would bring more socialist mandates.
In the evening, thousands of PDM's supporters came to the buiding of the Legislature to demand political stability and avoid anticipated elctions. The persons with placards have been protesting peacefully for almost an hour until law enforcement officials have announced that it has been made a call to the 112 service through which someone has reported that the edifice is mined and the police has asked the demonstrators to distance from the building.
At the time of news broadcast, the special services are checking the Parliament building.
