Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/- MPs of PSRM and ACUM bloc elected today members of the parliament standing bureau and three deputy speakers.
At the same time, PDM announced it will appeal to the Constitutional Court any decision taken today in plenary. Today the magistrates of the Constitutional Court have decided that the parliament is not entitled to carry out legislative activity and perform the duties provided by article 66 of Constitution and set governing bodies.
As a result of the decision of the MPs of ACUM block and PSRM, the number of deputy speakers will be increased to four. Thus, the new deputy speakers were elected Mihai Popsoi from DA Platform, Alexandru Slusari from PPDA and Ion Ceban from PSRM. The fourth post of deputy speaker will be offered according to the decision of opposition MPs.
Also today, MPs of PSRM and ACUM bloc voted for the composition of the Permanent Bureau of Parliament. It will include 15 people.
Today the MPs of PSRM and ACUM bloc convened in a plenary meeting and signed a temporary commitment to cooperation, and elected by secret ballot Zinaida Grecianii as speaker. Although the Constitutional Court has decided that the legal term for forming a government has expired on 7 June and the parliament is due to be dissolved. The court said that in the event of the circumstances of compulsory dissolution of the Parliament as a result of the legislative blockage and / or the impossibility of forming the Government for 3 months (90 days), Parliament is not entitled to carry out legislative activity and to perform the tasks provided by article 66 of Constitution and set governing bodies of parliament.
