Constitutional court examines circumstances justifying dissolution of parliament of Moldova

Chisinau, 09 June /MOLDPRES/ – The Constitutional Court (CC) has examined the circumstances justifying the dissolution of Parliament of Moldova and it has issued an opinion finding as a circumstance justifying the dissolution of Parliament of the Xth legislature on impossibility of forming the Government within the timeframe foreseen by Article 85 para. (1) of Constitution.

On Sunday, 09 June, the CC of Moldova has examined the complaint filed by interim President of Moldova, Pavel Filip, on finding of circumstances justifying the dissolution of Parliament of the 10th legislature.

After deliberations, the magistrates have issued an opinion stating that: "circumstance justifying the dissolution of Parliament of Moldova of the Xth legislature is the impossibility of forming the Government within the term stipulated by article 85 paragraph (1) of the Constitution".

The opinion is final, can not be subject to any appeal, enters into force on the date of its adoption and it is published in the Official Journal of Moldova.
