MPs of ACUM bloc, Party of Socialists of Moldova rule to set up inquiry commission for investigating bank fraud

Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - Sixty one lawmakers of the ACUM bloc and the Party of Socialists (PSRM) today ruled to create an inquiry commission for the elucidation of the circumstances of the embezzlement of the banking system from Moldova and investigation of the bank fraud.
According to the MPs’ decision, the commission will have at its disposal three months, during which all sides involved in the fraud are to be heard and the commission members will have access to the Kroll 2 report.
The commission will be made up of nine members: three PSRM lawmakers, three ones on behalf of the ACUM bloc and three MPs of the opposition. The commission will be led by Alexandru Slusari; Vladimir Golovatiuc was appointed deputy head and Lilian Carp will act as secretary.
Also at the parliament meeting, the PSRM lawmakers informed that Vlad Batrincea was the faction’s new head.
Also today, the new cabinet of ministers appointed by ACUM and PSRM held a meeting and ruled to dismiss the director of the National Health Insurances Company, Tamara Andrusca and the head of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Alexandru Pinzari. Gheorghe Balan was appointed as IGP chief.
The meeting of the MPs and the cabinet of ministers took place in the context of a decision by the Constitutional Court from 9 June, which declared unconstitutional the decrees by the head of state on the nomination of the candidate for the office of prime ministers and appointment of Moldova’s government.
