Moldovan Prosecutor General's Office opens criminal case on funding of political parties

Chisinau, 11 June /MOLDPRES/- The Prosecutor General's Office today announced that it opened a criminal case on the financing of political parties.

“Given many complaints submitted to the General Prosecutor’s Office on some data in public domain which cast doubt on legality of funding of political parties, the General Prosecutor's Office comes with the following information: Recent information in media has served as grounds for self-prosecution of prosecutors and initiating criminal proceedings ", a press release by the institution reads.

During investigations, prosecutors have initiated several actions to elucidate objectively the circumstances of the case, including taking evidence and going to hear people.
