MPs of ACUM bloc, Party of Socialists approve composition of Moldova's delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe

Chisinau, 12 June /MOLDPRES/ - Sixty one MPs of the ACUM bloc and the Party of Socialists (PSRM) held a plenary meeting today and voted a new delegation of Moldova to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The actions took place in the context when, on 8 June, the Constitutional Court ruled that all legislative acts (laws, decisions) adopted by the lawmakers of the parliament of the tenth legislative period on 8 June 2019 and afterwards will be declared unconstitutional ab initio (from the beginning).
Under the decision by the ACUM and PSRM MPs, the delegation will be made up of four lawmakers and four alternate members.
MPs Vlad Batrincea (PSRM), Doina Gherman (Action and Solidarity Party, PAS) will be members of the delegation and it will be led by Andrei Nastase (Dignity and Truth Platform Party, PPDA). One place in the delegation will be offered to the opposition.
MPs Ion Ceban (PSRM), Inga Grigoriu (PPDA) and Mihai Popusoi (PAS) were nominated as alternate members.
Also today, the ACUM and PSRM lawmakers voted the number and the nominal composition of the parliamentary commissions.
