Chisinau, 13 June /MOLDPRES/- The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Interior installs, starting today, anti-heat tents in the capital's districts.
The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Liliana Puscaşu, said that the rehabilitation points should be set up in five districts of Chisinau, as well as in Balti, Cahul and Comrat.
Tents will work daily from 11.00 to 18.00.
Puscaşu said that the goal of setting up such points is to protect people from the harmful effects of the heat, especially at noon.
According to physicians, to prevent the negative effects of heat and sunstroke, people should avoid excessive sun exposure between 11.00 -18.00, wear sun hats, clothing made of natural fibers of bright colors, drink at least two liters of liquid, avoid drinks with caffeine or sugar and eat as many fruits and vegetables.
The State Hydrometeorological Service announced two days ago the Yellow Code of Heat for June 11-16, mostly in central and southern districts. During this period, the maximum air temperature will reach 34 degrees.
Specialists note that this June could become the hottest in recent years, a heat warning being less common for this period.
