Competent institutions consider children's nourishment in summer camps of Moldova

Chisinau, 13 June /MOLDPRES/ - The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) today brought together decision-makers from more state institutions, in order to assess the nourishment of children in summer camps, due to work in Moldova this summer.
The ANSA deputy director general, Ion Toma, said that the institution had worked out an instruction on assessing the level of preparation of nourishment units from camps. At the same time, decision-makers changed provisions on children’s nourishment in camps.
The recommendations were brought to the knowledge of the camps’ directors attending the meeting. According to Toma, the nourishment units from camps will be unexpectedly inspected on all the summer period.
“The providing of the sound nourishment is primordial for ANSA. We will follow this to be a priority also for the leaders and employees of the nourishment units from camps, who are directly responsible for the process of children’s nourishment,” the ANSA director general, Ion Sula, said.
Attending the meeting were officials of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, Education, Culture and Research Ministry, National Public Health Agency, the leaders of all leisure and health recovery institutions meant for children. They exchanged information and agreed on maintaining an efficient cooperation during the camps’ work.
Seventy seven day camps and 46 stationary leisure camps are to work in the summer period and 51,000 children and teenagers are scheduled to benefit from their services.
