Chisinau, 14 June /MOLDPRES/ – On 13 June 2019, the Unified Control Commission (CUC) met in city Bender at a meeting led by the Moldovan delegation, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
The central issue, addressed at insistence of the Moldovan delegation, focused on the unilateral actions of the authorities of Tiraspol for illegal consolidation of a "border" in the Security Zone (ZS). The Moldovan delegation condemned these illegalities, including attempts to establish additional control posts in ZS.
It was revealed the blocking of efforts of the Moldovan delegation and representatives of the OSCE Mission to Moldova to determine the circumstances of location of the border guard post near Zahorna village instead of former station of peacekeepers. Thus, the representatives of parties in the Joint Military Command (CMI) have not been functioning for over 02 months the instructions of CUC to extract certain documents from the archive and submit them to the working group on the issues in ZS.
The report of CMI on situation in ZS for 05 – 11 June 2019 was also heard at the hearing, which was not approved due to the opposition of the members of the Transnistrian delegation. They motivated their refusal because the troops designated by three parties (Russia, Moldova, Transnistrian region) indicated in the report localitaty Varnita as a component of Anenii Noi district.
Referred to organisational issues, there were made changes to composition of the Russian delegation, being accepted as a member of CUC, Lilia Romadan, and admitted 02 new military observers.
In these circumstances, out of 08 issues included in the agenda of CUC, there were taken only decisions on organisational ones, the other 06 being transferred to the next meeting scheduled for 21 June.
