Second stage of enrolling children in first grade began today

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/- The second stage of enrolling children in first grade began today. Acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu made the statement at the weekly meeting of Chisinau mayoral services.

"Messages were sent to all parents who were denied at the first stage, whether the children were under the age of 7 until 30 November or did not belong to the district. Please do not create bureaucratic barriers to parents, " he said.

The head of the department for education, culture, youth and sport of Chisinau city hall, Rodica Gutu, informed that so far 4,279 applications for enrollment of children in first grade have been accepted. At the same time, 3,651 places are available.

Applications for enrolling children in first grade can be submitted online through escoala.chisinau.md. It became operational on 1 April, when the first stage of enrollment in school began.

At the beginning of 2018-2019 school year, 145 primary and secondary education institutions were operating in the capital.
