Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - The faction of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM) will put forward Monica Babuc for the office of deputy parliament speaker. The head of the PDM parliamentary faction, Pavel Filip, made statements to this effect at a news briefing today.
According to Filip, the PDM faction will participate in the next parliament meeting and will be in the opposition; yet, the Democrats’ faction will vote important draft laws for Moldova’s citizens.
„The PDM faction will be in the opposition against all those undermining the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, with those violating the state’s Constitution and laws, with those treading under foot the European values. We will not be an opposition denying absolutely everything. We will vote for drafts bringing benefits to people,” Filip said.
On 14 June, the Democratic Party of Moldova informed that he ruled to withdraw from power and the cabinet of ministers led by acting prime minister Pavel Filip resigned.
