Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Maia Sandu introduced new Finance Minister Natalia Gavrilita to the ministry’s staff today.
„From now on, it will be easier, I as we are sure that we will be able to supplement the budget with external sources, at least for a short term, so that we are certain that all payments to the citizens are made in time. From now on, we start working only in the interest of the citizens. We will make huge efforts, in order to make sure that no penny of the public money gets elsewhere but on the purposes of the citizens and the society,” Maia Sandu said.
For her part, Natalia Gavrilita noted that all public projects would be revised from the viewpoint of two principles. She said that the ministry would analyze whether a certain programme was good for the citizens and whether this was the best way of spending public money.
Natalia Gavrilita so far has acted as director general at the Global Innovation Fund, headquartered in London, the UK.
