Newly-appointed minister of economy introduced to staff

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/- New Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Vadim Branzan was introduced today to the ministry staff by Prime Minister Maia Sandu.
"From today meritocracy will be forward. People will be selected for a job only on the basis of professionalism, experience and willingness to work well and hard for people. The main task is to stop the public money leaks in the corrupt pocket. The second task is to create an environment favorable to the development of the economy," Maia Sandu said.
For his part, Vadim Branzan said he will not tolerate corruption in the system and will focus in particular on development and demonopolization. At the same time, the new Minister of Economy added that professionalism and team spirit would be encouraged at the ministry, not "relationships”.
Vadim Brânzan is 48 years old. He studied at the State University of Moldova, Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and Harvard University. He speaks fluent Romanian, Russian and English.
