New education, culture and research minister of Moldova introduced to staff

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Maia Sandu today introduced new Education, Culture and Research Minister Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei to the ministry’s staff.

At the minister’s introduction, the PM said that the agenda of the projects due to be implemented in the sector had been extended. Sandu gave assurances that there was political will for carrying out the most ambitious reforms.

For her part, Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei stressed that she wanted an efficient cooperation with the ministry’s team, in order to carry out and promote correct policies in all sectors managed. “I am confident that we will manage to promote correct policies, so that the employees feel that they can think freely and that they can work safely, so that we ensure a process of learning and work in all fields, due to support the development of young people,” the new minister noted.

Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei acted as deputy education minister in 2013-2015 and adviser of the education minister starting from 2012 till 2013. She studied at the State University of Moldova.
