National Agency for Public Health specialists warn people to be cautious when using household chemicals

Chisinau, 19 June /MOLDPRES/- National Agency for Public Health (ANSP) specialists have issued a series of warnings to people about the use of chemicals in domestic conditions. These were announced after many people, including children, died of phytosanitary poisoning.

According to ANSP data, more and more cases of acute intoxication of household etiology involving children are recorded in the country. The main causes of such poisoning are: unawareness of the population, especially by parents, of the potential risks of chemicals to human health and life, the non-compliance with the dosages and the rules for their use as indicated on product labels.

Specialists warn that it is forbidden to use animal chemicals to treat children against lice, scabies or any other disease. They recommend people to carefully read the recommendations and contents of chemical on the label before using it, away from children and not to exceed recommended doses.

Specialists announce that if there are suspected chemicals poisoning, citizens should urgently address their doctor.
