Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Maia Sandu said at today’s cabinet meeting that all fuel stations, bars and restaurants duty-free on entering the Republic of Moldova, including the Transnistrian region, will be prohibited.
The premier asked colleagues in parliament to work out and record urgently a draft law banning the activity of duty-free commercial units. "Beyond that legal provisions such as those mentioned do not exist in any country in the world, the national public budget is losing hundreds of millions of lei as a result of the implementation of these laws, and their beneficiary is a toxic person involved in dubious business, including in the theft of the billion,” Sandu said.
