President of Moldovan Constitutional Court resigns from office

Chisinau, 20 June /MOLDPRES/ - Mihai Poalelungi has tendered resignation from the office of president of the Constitutional Court (CCM). He made the announcement to this effect on CCM’s webpage.
According to a press release, Mihai Poalelungi today submitted the application on resignation.
Mihai Poalelungi was elected to the position of president of Moldova’s Constitutional Court in March 2018. Earlier, Poalelungi had held the office of judge at the European Court of Human Rights on behalf of Moldova and the post of judge and president of the Supreme Court of Justice.
In the end of the last week, Prime Minister Maia Sandu demanded the resignation of all judges of the Constitutional Court.
