Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s Embassy in Israel will not be transferred from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicolae Popescu made statements to this effect at a news conference today.

The Moldovan diplomacy head noted that there was no decision on moving the embassy to another place, as the political entity Filip government did not exist on the date of adoption of that decision.

Prime Minister Maia Sandu has also earlier informed that there was no decision on the movement of the embassy, but only a press release.

On 11 June, the former acting cabinet of ministers ruled to transfer Moldova’s Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Moldova’s decision was criticized by international structures.
