New minister of justice sworn in office

Chisinau, 24 June /MOLDPRES/- New Minister of Justice Olesea Stamate sworn in office today.
The official sworn in the presence of President Igor Dodon and Prime Minister Maia Sandu.
"We have great expectations for the field you are responsible for. Restoring people's confidence depends on the recovery of trust in justice,” the premier said.
The new minister took over the Justice portfolio two weeks after the appointment of Stanislav Pavlovschi, who resigned this weekend. He announced "during the work on the Justice Action Plan, he has identified several personal incompatibilities, which according to the Moldovan Constitution, make his activity impossible as a member of the government."
Olesea Stamate has a law degree and has worked in several programs as an expert in recent years.
